Street Curiosity invites you to upload photos to provoke questions from the great ideas of global art and philosophy. The purpose is to enrich your journeys and give you conversation material for friends and fellow travelers. Try using it with our Wander and Share modules, where you can find cool places to explore using local folklore and geography, and an intellectual community nearby.
PRIVACY:
Tarbet Design does not see or store your images or text: it only applies a pre-written prompt to what it receives. Our logs record that a request happened, how big the response was, and whether it worked.
Your image WILL be screened by an automated safety check from Anthropic API. Anthropic refuses images of personal IDs, nudity, graphic violence, and illegal content. If their filter flags illegal content, they report it. Your browser strips location data from the photo and re-encodes it, then sends the encoded text to Netlify for up to 7 days in operational logs, then to Anthropic for up to 30 days, then it is deleted.
Do not upload personal or private data. There is no such thing as online privacy anywhere — be careful with your personal data.
- Artificial intelligence is not trustworthy and may be wrong. Its source research material is solid but sometimes wonky. This is a humanities tool for play and reflection and conversation — not an oracle or an academic researcher.
- AI information has been scraped with great bias from Western traditions. We have done our best to reduce and correct to include and respect global intellectual traditions.
- Each prompt has the environmental impact of eating about one-fifth of a single waffle.
